Library

Our librarian is Roy Gault.

Email  roy.gault@ntlworld.com

Starting in 1961 with just 15 items, the society now maintains an extensive library of several thousand books, articles and periodicals from around the world.   Only members can borrow from the library stock, but many items are available to view on this website.

Library Index

Every item in the library is given a unique 4-digit number and is included in this index.

The library is divided into primary subjects and then most are divided again into secondary subjects.
For instance, the primary subject could be "Great Britain" and the secondary subject could be "Railway Parcel Stamps"

When an item covers more than one subject, its number will appear more than once in the index.

Each item also has a description called an abstract.  The abstracts can be found, in library number order, using these links:

Abstracts 1 :  items 0001 to 2863

Abstracts 2 :  items 2864 to 5378

Abstracts 3 :  items 5379 to end

Most items are articles. Those items that are complete books appear with a plus sign in the listing, e.g. 0265+.

Lists of books can be found below the index.
